Zero Rust Primer is a high-solids, phenolic-modified alkyd coating formulated to prevent rust and corrosion by forming a durable, oxygen-blocking barrier directly on steel surfaces. This primer delivers superior adhesion to both new and aged metal, cutting off oxygen to halt the rusting process at its source. Free of lead and isocyanates, Zero Rust Primer is safe and easy to apply, even over marginally prepared or partially rusted surfaces. It is a single-component, air-dry system that outperforms expectations, surpassing 2,000 hours in ASTM B117 salt spray testing for corrosion resistance.
